It’s time for chapter board elections! If you are interested in running for any of these positions (all one-year terms), please email Bethany Ao with which one you are interested in no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19. If you are currently in one of these roles and want to run for another term, please still email Bethany.
President – The president will oversee all activities of the chapter and will act as its chief executive officer.
Treasurer – The treasurer will be responsible for all fiscal activities of the chapter.
Secretary – The secretary will be responsible for making and maintaining meeting minutes and documentation of other chapter activities.
Vice president of outreach – The vice president of outreach will be responsible for engaging potential members, new members and donors.
Vice president of student engagement – The vice president of student engagement will be responsible for ensuring that the chapter meets the needs of student members by organizing events and other resources for career development.
You must be a full, dues-paying AAJA member in order to run.
Despite the pandemic, AAJA Philly is in a great spot: We have generous funding from the Lenfest Institute for programming and professional development, and 2020 is our 25th anniversary as a chapter. If you have ideas for what our chapter can do, please considering running for a board position! I promise it’s not scary and you’ll be able to make a difference.
