Radio job openings at PBS39

AAJA Philly member Stephen Jiwanmall passes along these job openings at PBS39 in the Lehigh Valley, which just acquired an NPR affiliate radio station:

My station PBS39 in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley just acquired an NPR affiliate station (WLVT-FM), and we’re looking to add talent! Here’s a message from our new senior vice president of radio, Christine Dempsey:

“We’re building a radio staff for a public media organization in the Lehigh Valley. Looking for a News Director, 2 drive-time anchors and an Operations Director. This will be an NPR affiliate station with a news/talk format. The station is located in the Lehigh Valley, PA, the fastest growing and 3rd largest metro area in the state of Pennsylvania. We are situated 90 minutes from NYC and 60 minutes from Philadelphia. Our building is located on the site of Bethlehem Steel’s former blast furnaces. This is now a vibrant arts, culture and entertainment campus.

We also have a staff of over 12 multimedia journalists producing a daily video newsmagazine for our TV station, WLVT. They will be contributing content to our radio station and digital properties as well.

Looking for professionals who want to join us for an exciting adventure to bring a full-service news outlet to this community.

The jobs are posted at wlvt.org/careers.
