Julie Shaw, president of AAJA-Philly, is a reporter at the Philadelphia Daily News, but is now on maternity leave. So, her days mostly consist of staying home these days and taking care of her 4-month-old baby, Claudia. Her interests include running, watching movies, and traveling. Recent trips include Peru, Egypt, and Chile. She spent two years in Honduras with the Peace Corps. At work, Julie has written about immigrants, and crime and court stories. She particularly likes heading out to different neighborhoods and knocking on doors.
