Corky LeeCome join the Philadelphia chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) for an exciting photography event with Corky Lee, recognized as the most widely known photojournalist of Asian American issues, community, and activism, on Saturday, Sept. 29.

Corky will talk about some of his photos featured in his first-ever Philadelphia exhibit, currently showing at the Asian Arts Initiative. He will also give us some tips on how to take better photos.

When: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29

Where: Asian Arts Initiative, 1219 Vine St., Philadelphia

Corky Lee’s exhibit, “Into the Picture: Images of Asian Pacific America by Corky Lee,” is showing at the Asian Arts Initiative now through Oct. 5.

What: Corky will talk about some of his photos in the exhibit, and will then give us some photo tips. Feel free to bring press releases you’ve received from past events so he can explain how he would shoot such events. You can also bring a few of your photos for him to critique and discuss.

Cost: Free for AAJA members. $10 for non-AAJA students; $15 for non-AAJA professionals
